EVN is part of a major multi-service utility (electricity, gas, heat, water, and telecommunications) in Lower Austria, the country´s largest state in the North East, surrounding the Austrian capital, Vienna. The EVN telecommunications network stretches from the Slovak border to the frontier with the state of Styria and from the Czech border to the state of Burgenland.

In addition to inner-Austrian connections to several provinces and some of the most important locations in Vienna, EVN runs an SDH link and high-capacity cables to the Czech Republic. High-capacity connections to Slovakia shall be established.

EVN offers managed bandwidth and co-location services, VPNs, and corporate network solutions. As an access provider, EVN has established an SDH network (STM-1, STM-4, STM-16 nodes) throughout Lower Austria. Via local networks, customers are directly connected to SDH nodes located in the district capitals.
